About Me
I am an independent, ICPC trained, NOCN qualified and fully-insured professional who can prepare and conduct all kinds of different ceremonies for you wherever, whenever and however you would like them to be held.
I have always been interested in the ways in which people live their lives and mark significant moments, so I love the idea of creating unique ceremonies for people in the Winchester area – and beyond – as a celebrant.
A trained professional as well as a friendly, kind and confident person, I will devote myself to you, your story and ceremony. I will be super-organised as well as cheerful and easy to work with during the planning and preparation stages for your special occasion. A warning though: I may seek out the little nuggets of joy and laughter wherever they might be found and include them, with your permission, in your personalised ceremony!
Before and on the day, you’ll have the benefit of many years’ experience as a drama and English teacher in the crafting and delivery of your script as well as training in formal event management and years of organising three children’s parties. On the day itself, you’ll have the benefit of my years of voice and theatre training. Well used to ‘putting on a show’, I will be a reliable, practical and genuine collaborator in creating your special event and a competent officiant at your ceremony, in whatever space you choose.
I like to think that anything is possible and would welcome the quirky, original and unusual – as well as the traditional – for your choice of ceremony. I will of course honour your religious, cultural and spiritual background in everything I do; you will have the final say on the script I write and deliver.
Constructing a bespoke ceremony for you will entail at least the following: meeting and following up; listening and note-taking; discussing and making choices; researching, ‘phoning and liaising; crafting, re-writing and rehearsing; sourcing materials; advising and supporting; checking and making sure your event runs smoothly at the venue and of course…travelling and being there on the day!
I will only ever have one ceremony per day so that I can focus entirely on you, your loved ones and the ceremony you want.
My pricing reflects this commitment and typically range between £250 – £750.
